When you come to the office, Dr. Kaufman will discuss your concerns and obtain a detailed medical history. He will then conduct a physical examination. If your complaints warrant further investigation, a venous duplex ultrasound will be performed in the vascular laboratory. 

​Based on the findings of this complete examination, the doctor can recommend the treatment that best suits your needs.

On The Day Of Your Treatment

After checking in, you will be led back to the procedure room, where you will slip on a pair of shorts. The team will then prepare you for surgery which including prep, usually takes less than an hour. After a brief period of observation, you may leave. 

Free Your Legs

With procedures on the right leg, we recommend you have someone drive you home, because of the local anesthetic. After procedures on the left side, you can often drive yourself home.
